Hopefully you are reading this because you want an edge on life. Flawed conventional wisdom along with big businesses has made us fat, sick, stressed out and burnt out. Life doesn’t need to be a slog. You don’t need to force yourself through the day battling with lack of energy and subpar health.

Our health care system is predominantly setup to help when things break down; when we are sick or injured. This will not last for long. What happened to those good old days when we were in our 20’s and our minds, bodies and dreams seemed to have had limitless potential? Can you relate? A decade or two later, for me, ‘things’ seemed to be breaking down which led to; cortisone injections, scope for torn cartilage, ACL reconstruction surgery, too many X-rays, a second ACL reconstruction, MRI’s, wrist surgery, frequent colds, food intolerances, skin irregularities, foggy thinking, fatigue, new allergies and the list goes on and on.
At first, I thought nothing of the deterioration of my body. My thought was this gradual breakdown is just the “natural process of aging” and the result of an A-type personality red lining the mind and body through sports, fitness and my career at 1 of the 500 fastest-growing companies in Canada; often putting in over 70 hours of work per week for almost a decade.
After one of my latest reconstruction surgeries, which could have been fatal, I no longer took what the doctors had to say at face value. This doctor made a mistake and I was lucky to escape with my life. I was sent home with misdiagnosed blood clots. Next day I was rushed by ambulance to the hospital and went under treatment for two days and a pharmacy of needles and pills I had to deal with everyday for 6 months. As a result of that day I started taking control and responsibility of my own health and body. I knew I could not leave my health and my life to the ‘professionals’.
Soon, Biohacking will become mainstream. Health related feedback data is advancing exponentially. We will be more easily able to take ourselves out of the ‘safe zone’ and closer to optimal health by properly fine-tuning our biochemistry, nutrition, physical activities and vitamin supplements.
